I owned one of these for 5 years, a 2.0gl automatic on a D plate and it was just so good on the motorway because the A4LD transmission had so much overdrive. It was also very reliable and cheap to maintain. It had the 2.0i engine management system which made the engine reliable, smooth and dependable, i drove a manual version and in my opinion the auto box made the car much nicer to drive.

I used to catch fish in that beck when I was a kid. I grew up two villages away and went to primary school in Thornton. My Mum lives in the Alms houses. The lady getting the pics was outside my mums. Quite often did jobs along with Mike Barnes too. 👍

Called in May 2024. Gorgeous little village. Had some food and moved on to stay in Whitby. It’s well worth a visit. We loved it.

My old boss once said that the internet would never catch on and emails won’t last. There are also the people who said digital cameras will never take over roll film. Mobile phones, most people have one, sad to see the old telephone boxes disappearing, but be honest when did you last use one. Then there is the question of global warming, some still deny it or that solar power and wind turbines are useless in the UK. It is a significant proportion of energy supply. An EV is just another form of transport and if you’re lucky enough to have off street parking you’ll be quids in. There’s really no need to be so hateful, embrace the new technologies, there may well be an alternative in the future, but you cannot deny that an electric car is more energy efficient than any ICE.

EVs are safer, cleaner, cheaper, more reliable, faster, keep their value and are more fun. And they don't give your family cancer.. And you don’t have to buy petrol, giving money to our enemies, like Iran, Russia, etc.
